Nicknamed “The hostess city of the South,” this quintessentially southern city is sure to charm our Premier Club guests with an abundance of hospitality, beauty, and culture.

Offering more than 100 distinct neighborhoods and 22 squares – lovely mini-parks surrounded by gorgeous homes – the city is made for walking. Stroll through the historic district where you will notice that each square is unique with its own sculptures, fountains, walking paths, and landscaping. The surrounding homes are typically stately, colorful and worth a lingering look as you walk the tree-covered streets.

Continue your exploration of Savannah on River Street, lively with converted cotton warehouses turned into galleries, boutiques, pubs and restaurants. This area is ideal for people watching and bar hopping – what’s more you can take those drinks to go! Make sure to sample the delicacies at Savannah’s Candy Kitchen and pick up a box of mouthwatering pecan pralines to share with friends and family back home. Don’t miss watching for the giant ships that will sail right by you into one of America’s busiest ports!

Savannah offers a range of experiences, all set against a backdrop of laid-back southern charm.  A few of the must dos include:

The Details

Air Travel

Golbon’s travel agency, Omega World Travel will arrange all air travel and you will receive a confirmation email at the time of booking with your flight itinerary.  As travel dates get closer please check for updated flight information as travel times may have changed since the original booking.

Omega World Travel: (800) 756-0309
Susie Rodriguez at Omega:

Most airlines now allow online check-in through their websites.  We recommend checking with your airline and if available, check into your flight online (usually available within 24 hours prior to your departure time) to take advantage of reduced baggage fees as well as expediting your check-in process at the airport.  If online check-in is not available you can do it at the airport.  You’ll want to print out a copy of the itinerary and bring it with you to the airport along with identification – passport or state driver’s license – to receive your boarding passes.  Mobile boarding passes are available at some airports, and can be acquired through online check-in.

Check your airline’s website prior to departing for the airport to receive the most current, up-to-date flight information.

Most airlines have limits on the number and weight/dimension of luggage pieces you may carry or check onto a plane.  Check your airline’s website directly for specific information and fees.   Note:  Baggage charges are not included in the trip package and will need to be paid by the traveler.

Airport/Hotel Ground Transportation

If you are arriving on Friday, February 7, Golbon will arrange for your airport transfers from Savannah/Hilton Head Airport to the Perry Lane Hotel. Costs for your transfer, including tax and gratuities, will be prepaid by Golbon.  Our transportation staff will be in the baggage claim area holding a sign with the Golbon logo.  Once you have retrieved all pieces of luggage, staff will escort you to your vehicle.

The Savannah/Hilton Head Airport is located approximately ten miles from Downtown Savannah [about a twenty-minute drive].  Taxi cabs and rental cars are both readily available in the baggage claim area should you be traveling outside the standard trip arrival or departure dates.

Return shuttle schedules to the airport for Monday, February 10 will be available onsite at Golbon Hospitality.

The Activities

Savannah is a walkin’ town, and our guests will be poised to walk out of our hotel right into the heart of the renowned historic district. We will offer unique ways to enjoy the city among the company of other guests, plus time for on-own exploration.

Get ready for…

“Lip-Smackin” – We found a special foodie tour that takes guests off the beaten path for some delicious surprises that they would probably not have found otherwise.

“Rollin Thru Town” – Cover more ground of this gorgeous town and have fun doing it on a bike! We are offering two varieties – something for everyone – so stay tuned for more…

“Takin’ Pictures” – It’s easy to take tons of pictures with our smart phones, but how much do we know about setting up the shot for a stellar pic rather than a throwaway? Guests will learn about the history of Savannah while getting pro instructions for improving their shots of these gorgeous sights.

“On the Water” – Savannah is one of the busiest ports in the U.S. with giant container ships coming and going all the time. Hop on a boat for a close-up and instructive view of the port, followed by a visit to the wildlife preserve right up the river. You may just spot a gator or two!
